Programme Policy Officer Assurance Coordinator CST II

Provides WFP Kenya’s Risk and Compliance Unit with independent assurance over the Cooperating Partner lifecycle. The coordinator assesses governance and controls, reviews due diligence and risk ratings, conducts assurance reviews and testing, maintains audit-readiness evidence and corrective-action trackers, analyses portfolio data, reports findings, and strengthens controls across Area Offices.

• Assess Cooperating Partner governance and internal-control effectiveness
• Review due diligence, capacity assessments, risk ratings and mitigation measures
• Develop and refresh a risk-based assurance plan
• Conduct assurance reviews, spot checks, walkthroughs, testing and verification
• Prepare evidence-based assurance reports and corrective actions
• Maintain audit-readiness evidence and findings tracker
• Analyse partner data and maintain a risk and assurance dashboard

• Advanced degree in risk management, internal audit, compliance, finance, accounting, governance, operations management or a related field
• Five to seven years in assurance, audit, compliance, risk management, internal controls or oversight
• English fluency
• Governance, risk-management and internal-control assessment capability

• Professional certification in risk management, internal audit, compliance or related field
• NGO implementing-partner, humanitarian-operation or audit-readiness experience
