Job Description
UNFPA’s Papua New Guinea Country Office seeks a Programme Finance Associate to provide financial, administrative and programme support. The post supports implementing partners, work planning, budget monitoring, financial reports, HACT assurance and procurement logistics. It requires secondary education and six years’ relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree and three years, plus fluent English.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support programme planning, work-plan creation and project-profile updates
- Prepare budget revisions and monitor project budgetary commitments
- Review implementing-partner financial forms and supporting documentation
- Generate financial reports through PowerBI and Quantum
- Coordinate project closure and HACT assurance activities
- Arrange procurement, programme logistics and meeting documentation
Role Requirements
- Completed secondary level education
- Six years of relevant programme, administration, finance or office-management experience with secondary education
- Three years of relevant experience with a first-level university degree
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in current office software applications
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- First-level university degree in administration, finance, commerce or accountancy
- Experience with UN agencies
- Good knowledge of Quantum
- Knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French or Spanish
