Job Description
The Finance Associate supports UNFPA Kenya Country Office financial services, controls and reporting. The role advises staff and implementing partners on budgets, coding and documentation; reviews transactions, expenditure and account balances; follows up audit issues; and supports accurate financial monitoring, year-end closure and liaison with UNDP on payments.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise and support staff on programme budgets, chart-of-accounts coding, accounting and UNFPA policies
- Review implementing-partner FACE submissions and reconcile partner reports with Country Office financial records
- Review accounting transactions and trial balances for compliance and potential discrepancies
- Monitor financial integrity through dashboards, payments, payables, deposits and programme-budget allocations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and year-end account-closure reconciliations
- Liaise with UNDP on finance matters and ensure payment documentation is completed
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field
- Seven years of relevant finance, accounting or business administration experience
- Experience with office software, spreadsheet and database packages, web-based management systems and ERP financials
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with international organisations, including UN agencies
