Job Description

Advances UNOPS’ strategic positioning, project development and resource-mobilisation pipeline across North Africa and Indian Ocean SIDS. The analyst assesses funding opportunities, develops proposals and partner intelligence, coordinates new-engagement documentation and quality reviews, and supports stakeholder engagement, communications and knowledge management for the Multi-Country Office.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess project and business opportunities aligned with UNOPS priorities and comparative advantage
  • Analyse government programmes, donor strategies and emerging needs to position UNOPS for engagement
  • Develop expressions of interest, concept notes, proposals, logical frameworks and project-development documents
  • Prepare partner profiles, opportunity assessments, briefing notes, talking points and presentations
  • Map funding and partnership opportunities across governments, UN entities, donors, financial institutions, foundations, NGOs and the private sector
  • Coordinate documentation, budgets, legal agreements and internal reviews for new engagements
  • Monitor the resource-mobilisation pipeline and provide recommendations to the Partnerships and Communication Team Lead
  • Maintain partnership information and support communications, outreach and knowledge sharing

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in international affairs, law, business administration, social sciences, economics, agriculture, environmental studies, development studies or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the listed fields with two years of relevant experience
  • Experience working directly with internal and external partners including governments and international donors
  • Experience in professional proposal writing
  • Fluent French
  • Fluent English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in North Africa
  • Knowledge of Google Suite tools and web-based management systems
  • Experience in UNOPS or other UN agencies
