PAHO Consultant - Sistemas y Servicios de Salud

Builds PAHO Uruguay's national roster of consultants who can provide strategic support and technical assistance for health-system and service priorities. Selected specialists may be called for project-specific work spanning service transformation, digital health, governance, technical studies, capacity building, monitoring and cooperation with public institutions and health-sector partners.

• Provide strategic support and technical assistance for prioritized health-system and service initiatives
• Facilitate the design and implementation of projects with national health-sector counterparts
• Prepare technical and strategic documents, studies, diagnostics and evaluations
• Generate and systematize evidence to inform health-sector decisions
• Deliver training and strengthen technical capacities for national cooperation work
• Coordinate interinstitutional engagement with national and international actors

• Legal residence in Uruguay
• University degree in health sciences, public health, health economics or social sciences
• At least five years of verifiable experience in health systems and services
• Experience formulating, implementing and evaluating projects
• Excellent Spanish writing ability

• Postgraduate training in public health, health management, digital health, epidemiology or health economics is desirable
• Experience in international, South-South or triangular cooperation is desirable
• English or Portuguese comprehension is desirable
