Job Description

Leads strategic and technical coordination of UNICEF's Nutrition Cluster in Mali, supporting a coherent, needs-based humanitarian response. The specialist convenes government and humanitarian partners, analyses needs, plans and monitors interventions, manages sector information and strengthens preparedness, advocacy, resource mobilisation and partner capacity for nutrition emergencies.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Nutrition Cluster strategically and technically in Mali
  • Convene government and humanitarian partners for a coherent nutrition response
  • Analyse needs and plan and monitor nutrition interventions
  • Manage sector information and support advocacy and resource mobilisation
  • Strengthen partner capacity and coordinate nutrition emergency preparedness and response

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in nutrition, public health, medicine, epidemiology, social sciences or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in nutrition programmes in humanitarian and/or development contexts
  • Proven experience coordinating humanitarian sectors or working groups, preferably within the cluster system
  • Fluency in French

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language or a local language
  • Relevant country-level experience in development, fragile and humanitarian contexts
