Job Description

Strengthens UNFPA Djibouti’s humanitarian readiness by operationalizing the Minimum Initial Service Package, clarifying emergency coordination and building staff capacity. The volunteer develops practical tools, runs simulations, embeds accountability and safeguarding, tracks progress and hands over sustainable arrangements.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review readiness to operationalize the Minimum Initial Service Package
  • Develop and implement a practical MISP preparedness action plan
  • Adapt service maps, referral information, checklists and coordination templates
  • Clarify emergency roles, information flows and priority actions
  • Integrate accountability, PSEA and survivor-centred referral safeguards
  • Coach staff and conduct learning sessions and simulation exercises
  • Maintain an action tracker and complete a sustainable handover package

Role Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant experience in humanitarian preparedness, emergency coordination or sexual and reproductive health in emergencies
  • Demonstrated experience with MISP implementation, coordination tools, capacity development and knowledge transfer
  • Experience working with government, United Nations, humanitarian or implementing partners
  • Knowledge of PSEA, accountability to affected populations and survivor-centred referral
  • Previous UNFPA experience
