Area Coordinator – Gaza Emergency Response Project

National UN Volunteer coordinating field implementation of Italian-funded emergency and early-recovery projects across Gaza, monitoring multisector services, partner performance, safeguarding, community accountability, risks and donor reporting.

Department: Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People, Early Recovery and Resilience Programme

• Monitor project delivery against workplans, budgets, targets and donor requirements
• Conduct field visits and quality checks across shelter, WASH, health, education and protection
• Coordinate implementing partners, local authorities, communities and humanitarian actors
• Verify beneficiary targeting, technical standards, safeguarding and inclusive access
• Operate community feedback and accountability mechanisms and document concerns
• Collect and validate results data for progress reports, evaluations and audits
• Identify operational and security risks and recommend corrective measures

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, development studies, social sciences, public administration, public health, education, humanitarian action, international development or a related field
• At least five years of progressively responsible project implementation, monitoring, coordination and programme-management experience
• Experience monitoring multisector humanitarian, recovery, resilience or community interventions
• Fluency in Arabic and English
• Ability to operate in a complex humanitarian environment and travel within project locations
