National Consultant for Pre-Service Teacher Education and Continuous Professional Learning ImplementationNew

Coordinates UNICEF support for pre-service teacher education and continuous professional learning implementation in Tajikistan. The home-based national consultant will work with education stakeholders to strengthen planning, coordination and delivery, support evidence-based implementation and help improve professional learning systems that benefit teachers and children.

• Coordinate pre-service teacher education implementation
• Support continuous professional learning activities
• Engage education-sector stakeholders
• Track implementation progress and identify improvements
• Strengthen planning and coordination for teacher development

• Tajikistan nationals only
• Master’s degree in education, pedagogy, system reform or another relevant field
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in education, teacher training, teacher professional development or lifelong learning
• Proficiency in Tajik and Russian

• Experience in current education reform and teaching and learning materials development
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Phase I or Phase II of the IsDB/GPE project
• Experience with the national teacher education context, including pre-service programme requirements, the CPL system, approval processes and quality assurance mechanisms
