Job Description
This UN Volunteer assignment supports UNDP Sudan's resilience and recovery portfolio by building an integrated monitoring, evaluation and reporting system. It turns project and partner data into reliable indicators, field verification and donor reporting, while strengthening the ability of focal points and implementing partners to use evidence for adaptive decisions and resource mobilisation.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintain monitoring plans and indicator-tracking tools for project targets, data sources and reporting deadlines
- Consolidate progress data from state offices, partners and community organisations into UNDP systems and trackers
- Check data for completeness, accuracy and consistency and follow up on gaps or errors
- Conduct field monitoring visits and spot checks and record findings and follow-up actions
- Draft monthly, quarterly and annual progress and donor reports using tables, charts, maps and dashboards
- Support surveys, assessments and evaluations by preparing tools, guiding enumerators and analysing data
- Collect field case studies and lessons learned to inform programme adjustments
- Coach state teams and partners in data-collection tools, forms and reporting templates
Role Requirements
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting for development or humanitarian programmes
- Bachelor's degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, economics, development studies, social sciences, international development, public policy, public administration or a related field requires 2 additional years of qualifying experience
- Demonstrated experience designing and managing monitoring and evaluation systems
- Ability to independently develop and manage monitoring and evaluation tools and systems
- English
Desired Criteria
- Formal training or certification in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis or results-based management is an asset
