M&E and Reporting Expert

UNDP seeks a UN Volunteer M&E and Reporting Expert in Amman to strengthen a Yemen ports-rehabilitation project. The role designs data and reporting protocols, verifies field data, tracks activities and milestones, analyses results against the logical framework and work plan, produces reports and communications, and builds learning, knowledge-management and partner capacity.

• Design and implement data-collection and reporting protocols linked to project outcome indicators
• Monitor data quality, track activity progress and identify capacity-building opportunities for staff and implementing partners
• Conduct field visits to verify the quality and accuracy of project data
• Draft reports and analyse data against logical-framework indicators and the Annual Work Plan
• Interpret implementation outcomes and provide programme recommendations based on evidence
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports compliant with project work plans and M&E frameworks
• Develop and disseminate media-friendly communications products and knowledge-management materials

• Seven years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, results-based management and reporting
• Degree in social science, economics, international relations, development studies, statistics, management, engineering or a related discipline
• Excellent writing and analytical skills in drafting concept notes and reports
• Excellent oral and written English and Japanese

• M&E systems experience
• Experience with development agencies, preferably government systems
• UN or international-development organization experience
• Arabic language ability
