The IFRC Reporting Officer turns internal country plans and reports into external publications for about 130 countries. The role researches humanitarian evidence, verifies results alignment and source quality, writes National Society profiles and global summaries, manages sensitivities and supports surge reporting.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Convert internal country plans and reports into external publications
  • Write and edit National Society profiles
  • Verify narrative alignment with the IFRC results matrix
  • Research humanitarian context and thematic priorities
  • Validate sources, hyperlinks and quantitative evidence
  • Use emergency appeals and DREF material to strengthen reporting
  • Draft country examples and summaries for global reports and plans
  • Track sensitive content across reporting cycles
  • Provide team cover and deploy for disaster reporting when required

Role Requirements

  • University degree in international relations, journalism, professional writing and editing, English literature or a related field
  • Professional training or relevant experience in planning and reporting
  • Four years of relevant experience
  • Experience producing high-quality reports with graphic and statistical summaries
  • Experience with the Red Cross and Red Crescent or another humanitarian organisation
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Desired Criteria

  • Good command of another IFRC official language
