Job Description
This international UN Volunteer assignment strengthens biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and community nursery management in Solomon Islands. It develops monitoring tools, verifies field results, manages and analyses project data, supports results reporting, documents lessons, and coordinates with implementing partners, government counterparts and community stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans, indicators and tracking tools for biodiversity and nursery activities
- Maintain results frameworks, monitoring schedules and reporting systems
- Develop data-collection tools, checklists and field-monitoring templates
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from project sites, nurseries, partners and communities
- Conduct field visits, spot checks and verification exercises to validate reported results
- Monitor nursery establishment, seedling production, distribution, planting and restoration progress
- Consolidate, clean, validate and analyse project data from multiple sources
- Prepare dashboards, analytical summaries, visualizations and narrative reports
- Track delivery against work plans, targets and results frameworks
- Document lessons, good practices and implementation challenges while coordinating partners and stakeholders
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social science, business administration, public administration, project management, development studies or a related field
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in analytical software such as SPSS
- Full proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and writing skills to analyse, interpret and present data clearly and concisely
- 3-5 years in Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ability to perform duties effectively under stress and in isolated environments
- Sound security awareness
- English required
