Job Description
Provides clinical and medico-administrative care for MONUSCO personnel in Goma, including emergency response, medical examinations, occupational-health support and Level 1 facility management. The volunteer coordinates medical referrals and evacuations, supervises medical operations and training, and works in a demanding peacekeeping environment with frequent emergency and shift responsibilities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Deliver walk-in, emergency, medical-examination, immunisation and occupational-health services
- Organise medico-surgical emergency and mass-casualty responses
- Train MONUSCO personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid
- Manage the Level 1 facility, medical supplies and equipment
- Coordinate care with UN military medical units and host-nation facilities
- Apply UN procedures for medical clearances, sick leave, specialist consultations and evacuations
- Supervise medical support operations and develop staff medical capability
Role Requirements
- Medicine qualification with at least three years of experience
- Valid licence to practise medicine in the home country or country of residence
- Valid Basic Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Fluency in English and French
Desired Criteria
- Military or post-conflict experience
- Experience in a peacekeeping mission
