Job Description

Provides a supervised learning placement in UNICEF's Supply and Logistics Unit, supporting donation-approval documentation and transaction tracking. The intern processes submissions across UN 2720 and COGAT systems, follows up missing information and reports on approvals. The assignment builds practical logistics, data-management and partner-coordination experience in a high-volume operational setting.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review documentation for donation-approval requests in the UN 2720 system
  • Create and follow up submissions in UN 2720 and COGAT Mercury
  • Monitor submissions and resolve missing documentation or queries
  • Create required Ministry of Environment database submissions
  • Update supply and logistics transaction records and support KPI monitoring
  • Share approval QR codes for pre-clearance processing
  • Prepare reports on approved, pending and rejected submissions
  • Provide operational back-up to logistics team members during peak workloads

Role Requirements

  • Enrolment in an undergraduate or advanced university degree in supply management, contracting, logistics, administration or a related field
  • Excellent academic performance
  • No immediate relative working in a UNICEF office or other relative in the intern's reporting line
  • Ability to organise high-volume transaction documentation
  • Ability to operate computerised request and approval systems
  • Excellent oral and written English
