Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Research Intern

Supports UNDP’s Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development with research, writing and knowledge products on Islamic finance and impact investing. The internship contributes to sustainable-finance initiatives, publications and communications, translating evidence and best practices into stories, digital content and project support for partners working on the Sustainable Development Goals.

• Research, write and edit knowledge products on Islamic finance and impact investing
• Support publication of knowledge stories and best practices
• Contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable-finance initiatives and projects
• Prepare speeches, brochures, success stories and other communications materials
• Develop online content including images, infographics, videos and blogs
• Support social-media campaigns across digital channels
• Provide administrative support and other tasks assigned by the supervisor

• Be enrolled in a postgraduate programme, in the final year of a bachelor’s programme, recently graduated and able to start within one year, or enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship
• Experience in academic writing, research and analysis on sustainable development and impact investing

• Knowledge of SDG financing and Islamic finance
• Knowledge of OIC countries
• Computer literacy in standard software applications
• Previous economics and finance research experience with an Islamic-finance perspective
• Project design and implementation experience
• Social-media account management and content-development skills
