Internship (INTERNSHIP/2026/LSP/HRCS-1)

Support WMO multilingual publishing and linguistic services by proofreading and finalizing Chinese documentation, producing publication layouts, improving computer-assisted translation alignment and terminology resources, and translating occasional materials. The internship supports preparation of Chinese bitexts and terminology lists for machine-translation workflows in a publishing environment.

• Proofread and finalize Chinese documentation and publications
• Prepare layouts for print and electronic publication
• Validate aligned translation segments in the CAT tool
• Identify terminology material for the Chinese linguist
• Prepare Chinese bitexts for machine-translation retraining

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in publishing, graphic design, language studies or a related field
• Chinese as mother tongue
• Excellent oral and written English
• Applicants are not required to have professional work experience

• Knowledge of Arabic, French, Russian or Spanish is an advantage
• Knowledge of WMO or other UN organizations is an asset
