Job Description
Supports ESCWA’s Josour youth-employment platform in Beirut by managing partner information, opportunity listings and user engagement. The intern guides young people and opportunity providers, answers platform queries, reviews functionality and user experience, and researches youth empowerment to help expand an inclusive platform for employment, training and sustainable-development opportunities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor partner inputs and announcements on the Josour platform
- Help partners post job, training and internship opportunities
- Guide opportunity seekers in navigating the platform
- Respond to opportunity-seeker questions under team guidance
- Review platform functionality and user experience and suggest enhancements
- Support research on youth empowerment
- Contribute other tasks that advance the initiative’s objectives
Role Requirements
- Be enrolled in a graduate programme, enrolled in the final year of a first university degree or have graduated with a university degree
- Be computer literate in standard software applications
- Demonstrate keen interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter
- Demonstrate ability to interact successfully with people from different cultural backgrounds and beliefs
- Fluency in English and Arabic

- Internship duration is six months
- Interns are not financially remunerated and bear travel, visa, accommodation and living costs
