Job Description
UNECA offers a six-month internship in its Finance and Budget Section in Addis Ababa. The intern supports service-automation work across finance and budget units, helping develop surveys, forms, trackers and dashboards. Supervised assignments cover data collection and analysis, workflow documentation, reporting, testing and follow-up to improve service delivery and process efficiency.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Design, test and update automated surveys and forms for Finance and Budget Section services
- Collect, organize and analyze survey responses and service data
- Develop trackers, dashboards, templates and other tools used by finance and budget units
- Map and document workflows across the Account, Trust Fund, Payroll, Treasury and Budget Units
- Prepare reports, summaries, presentations and briefing materials from collected data
- Review manual processes and identify automation opportunities
- Maintain records related to finance, budget and service-delivery activities
- Coordinate follow-up with section units on service-automation requirements
- Assist testing, quality checks and collection of user feedback for automated tools
Role Requirements
- Student in the final year of a bachelor's, master's or Ph.D. programme, or a graduate of one of those programmes
- Field of study closely related to the internship
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Studies in administration, business administration, finance, accounting, information systems, data management or public administration
- Interest in digital tools, automation or process improvement
- Exposure to dashboards, trackers or similar digital tools
