Job Description

Coordinates UNICEF emergency health supplies across flood-affected districts, keeping vaccines, medicines and equipment traceable from warehouse receipt to final delivery. The assignment strengthens cold-chain operations, supply reporting and district-level coordination so health facilities can sustain immunization and essential services during the Bhotekoshi-Rasuwa flood response.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate health-supply receipt, registration and storage with district health and disaster-management authorities
  • Track UNICEF equipment, medicines, vaccines and commodities from district warehouses to final distribution points
  • Manage cold-chain logistics and coordinate vaccine transport to holding centres and health facilities
  • Identify supply gaps with health, nutrition and WASH colleagues and prioritize dispatches
  • Prepare weekly reports on stock levels, dispatches, distribution gaps and delivery constraints
  • Monitor field distribution to verify receipt and appropriate use of UNICEF health items

Role Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in health or medical supply chains, cold-chain or vaccine logistics, warehousing, or emergency logistics
  • Relevant background in public health, pharmacy, finance, logistics, business administration or a related field
  • English and Nepali

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with government or UN and INGO logistics systems
  • Working knowledge of vaccine cold-chain equipment and temperature monitoring
  • Valid national driver's licence and manual 4x4 driving ability
  • Familiarity with Nepal health-system and DDMC or LDMC coordination
