Health and Nutrition Officer

Coordinates emergency health and nutrition services for children, adolescents and pregnant or lactating women affected by Venezuela’s earthquakes, supporting community primary care, field monitoring, risk communication, partner capacity and recovery of essential services.

• Coordinate and implement outreach health and nutrition services
• Support community-based primary health care for affected populations
• Conduct field monitoring and supervise programme implementation
• Lead community engagement and public-health risk communication
• Build partner capacity for emergency health and nutrition delivery
• Support recovery of essential community health and nutrition services
• Empower communities to identify and respond to public-health risks

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, nutrition and dietetics, child development, social development, community development or a related field
• At least one year of professional experience planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating health programmes
• Professional experience in programme management or child-survival and health care
• Field experience and emergency-response familiarity
• Fluent Spanish and intermediate English

• Temporary appointment for six months
• Elevated child-safeguarding risk role
