Job Description
IOM is seeking a consultant to provide protection case-management and institutional support for people affected by the Colombia earthquake. The assignment identifies protection risks, completes individual assessments, makes safe referrals and follows up cases while coordinating with public institutions and humanitarian actors to strengthen rights-based assistance for vulnerable communities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate territorial protection-response activities with public institutions, local authorities and civil-society actors in the affected territories
- Identify people with specific protection needs in affected communities, temporary shelters and other prioritized locations
- Conduct individual protection-risk assessments and manage assigned cases from initial assessment through referral, follow-up and closure
- Develop individual assistance and follow-up plans and make safe, confidential referrals to specialized services
- Maintain current case records, service mappings and protection-trend reports in IOM systems
Role Requirements
- Professional degree in social work, psychology, law, social sciences or a related field
- One to two years of professional experience in protection programmes and case management with vulnerable populations
- Experience identifying protection risks and referring people to specialized services
- Fluent Spanish
- Availability to travel
Desired Criteria
- Experience in emergency or disaster responses
- Experience with displaced, migrant or refugee populations
- Knowledge of Colombian protection pathways
