Job Description
Provides global technical leadership for gender-intentional WASH programming under the Accelerating Sanitation and Water for All programme. The consultancy will consolidate and share evidence, strengthen advocacy and influence, and help country offices operationalise gender action plans through technical assistance, learning, coaching and collaboration across WASH, climate, health and nutrition.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to strengthen gender equality within the ASWA programme through evidence generation and knowledge management
- Facilitate collaboration across WASH, climate, health and nutrition communities of practice to develop joint knowledge products
- Produce technical briefs, presentations, learning products and reports on ASWA gender evidence and results
- Represent and present ASWA gender approaches at global and regional events and support evidence-based advocacy
- Support country offices to implement and monitor GALA action plans and replicate the GALA methodology
- Design and deliver guidance, coaching, training and peer-learning activities for gender-equitable WASH programming
- Monitor dissemination, uptake and influence of ASWA gender products and document follow-up actions
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in gender studies, social sciences, public health, water and sanitation, civil engineering, international development or a related field
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in WASH programming, including gender-intentional WASH approaches
- Fluency in English
- Experience delivering capacity building and technical assistance to country teams across multiple regions and contexts
Desired Criteria
- Working knowledge of French or another UN language
- Familiarity with the ASWA programme and GALA methodology
- Prior work experience with UNICEF or other UN organizations
