Overview
Provides technical leadership for gender equality, women’s empowerment and social inclusion across UNDP resilience and governance projects in Yemen. The role embeds gender-responsive approaches in programme design, monitoring, partnerships, capacity building, safeguards and knowledge products for vulnerable communities.

Responsibilities
- Lead gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment across resilience and governance projects
- Advise teams and partners on gender-responsive programming for livelihoods, governance, agriculture and financial inclusion
- Integrate disaggregated data and gender indicators into monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems
- Conduct gender analyses, assessments and audits and recommend corrective action
- Design training, coaching and practical resources for staff, government and implementing partners
- Build partnerships and advocacy with women’s organisations, civil society, government and development actors
- Document and share lessons, good practices, case studies and gender-responsive innovations
- Ensure projects apply human-rights, social-inclusion, safeguarding and Leave No One Behind principles
Requirements
- Master’s degree in gender studies, social science, development studies, public administration, economics or a related field, or bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- Two years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or four years with a bachelor’s degree
- Professional experience in gender mainstreaming, gender analysis or women’s empowerment within development programmes
- Knowledge of gender, gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English and Arabic
