Programme Specialist – Women Leaders in Finance

The Programme Specialist coordinates UNDP’s Women Leaders in Finance platform from New York, advancing women’s leadership across public and private finance. The role manages implementation, global partnerships, learning and resource mobilization while supporting gender-responsive economic governance and policy influence.

Department: Bureau for Policy and Programme Support – Gender Team

• Lead day-to-day implementation of the Women Leaders in Finance platform
• Coordinate global governance, high-level dialogues and regional forums
• Oversee leadership academies, mentoring and tailored learning programmes
• Produce policy, research and knowledge products on gender-responsive finance
• Build partnerships and develop proposals for resource mobilization
• Monitor results, risks, reporting and corrective actions

• Advanced degree in economics, development economics, public policy, international development, gender studies or a closely related field, or a bachelor’s degree with additional qualifying experience
• At least seven years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or nine years with a bachelor’s degree in public or private finance or related fields
• Experience advancing women’s leadership in public or private finance
• Project management experience covering planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder-engagement experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English
