Gender and Adolescent Specialist

Provides technical and operational support to UNICEF teams and partners integrating gender equality and adolescent participation into health and nutrition programming across northern Nigeria, strengthening government capacity, evidence, monitoring and meaningful engagement with girls and youth.

• Integrate gender-responsive approaches into programme planning and implementation
• Build government and partner capacity for gender-transformative programming
• Coordinate policy dialogue and partnerships with governments, civil society and youth groups
• Develop research tools, gender analyses and adolescent assessments
• Track indicators, validate partner reports and conduct field monitoring
• Prepare donor reports, briefings and knowledge products

• Three to five years of experience in gender equality, adolescent development or girls’ and women’s rights programming
• Experience in sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health or nutrition
• English and Hausa
