Overview
Supports gender equality coordination across Karamoja while helping UN Women design, deliver and monitor its women’s economic empowerment portfolio. The role strengthens partner capacity, aligns inter-agency action and develops evidence, reporting and resource mobilisation opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Represent UN Women in inter-agency and district coordination forums across Karamoja
- Coordinate government, UN, civil-society, donor and private-sector action on gender equality
- Advise partners on gender mainstreaming and Gender in Humanitarian Action
- Design and support women’s economic empowerment programme proposals and initiatives
- Guide partners on results-based management tools, indicators and reporting
- Monitor programme implementation, finances and gender-equality results
- Develop donor analysis, partnership documentation and resource mobilisation opportunities
Requirements
- Advanced degree in business administration, economics, agriculture, social sciences, human rights, gender studies, international development or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience in development project design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Technical experience in women’s economic empowerment
- English proficiency
