Job Description
Supports WFP Türkiye’s food-safety and quality-assurance work by conducting supplier and processor assessments and overseeing contractors. The officer analyses technical data for management decisions, builds partner capacity, develops food-technology protocols, aligns country-office standards with national requirements, and strengthens emergency readiness for food assistance.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct technical assessments and audits of potential and registered food suppliers and processors
- Monitor inspection companies and laboratory facilities contracted by WFP, including surprise site visits
- Analyse technical data and reports from WFP, inspection companies and laboratories for management decisions
- Build cooperating partners’ technical capacity to meet WFP expectations
- Develop and implement food-technology protocols and tools aligned with procurement and supply-chain strategy
- Ensure country-office standards align with requirements issued by the local standardisation agency
- Build relationships across country-office units to support integrated food assistance
- Follow emergency-preparedness practices to enable rapid food and resource deployment
Role Requirements
- University degree in food technology, health sciences, food control, nutrition, agriculture or a related field
- Experience implementing HACCP systems and ISO 22000 basic requirements
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English at level B
