Job Description
Supports compliant financial operations for the Verification of Claims and Expenditures Project in Afghanistan. The role administers budgets, validates payments and claims, manages accounting and cash processes, prepares financial reporting and reconciliations, and helps ensure donor, sanctions-screening, audit and data-management requirements are met across project activities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor and revise project and office budgets
- Maintain financial data and analyse budget utilisation, claims and invoices
- Verify claims and supporting documents and record them in ERP and MIS
- Review payment requests and process vouchers and pay cycles
- Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash accounts
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts, transfers, replenishments and foreign-exchange records
- Prepare financial reports, variance analysis and audit documentation
- Screen partners, contractors and key personnel against sanctions lists
Role Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in project operations, finance, HR, procurement or administrative support
- Demonstrable proficiency with collaboration tools and web-based ERP management systems
- Fluent English
Desired Criteria
- Experience working within a UN system organisation
- Experience managing operations or audit responses for large-scale donor-funded projects
