Supports OHCHR's Finance and Budget Section with budget formulation, expenditure control, grant administration and financial reporting. The role helps managers and programme teams prepare cost estimates and performance submissions, maintain reliable financial data, manage third-party grants and ensure operations comply with UN financial rules and procedures.

• Prepare budget estimates, supporting tables and submissions for staff and non-staff requirements
• Monitor expenditures, commitments and payroll data against approved budgets
• Review requisitions to confirm correct expenditure objects and available funds
• Prepare budget-performance reports and analyze budget variances
• Review, certify and administer grants to third parties and implementing partners
• Prepare financial reports, payment actions and responses to audit queries

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least seven years of experience in finance, budget, accounting, administrative services or a related area
• At least four years using budget, finance and grantor modules in an ERP such as SAP, Oracle or Umoja
• At least four years preparing budget proposals and monitoring budgets
• English

• Experience in the United Nations Common System or similar intergovernmental organizations is desirable
• Experience in data analytics or a related area is desirable
