Job Description
IOM seeks a protection consultant for Colombia’s earthquake response to deliver individual case management and institutional coordination. The role will identify vulnerable people, assess protection risks, establish care plans and referrals, track follow-up and document trends, helping ensure safe and dignified humanitarian assistance for children, women and other people with specific needs.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead the Africa regional disasters climate and crises department
- Coordinate operations programmes and technical services
- Drive regional crisis strategy with National Societies
- Manage coordination of operations across the Africa region
- Ensure high-quality locally anchored humanitarian programmes
Role Requirements
- Senior leadership experience in disaster and crisis management
- Experience managing regional humanitarian operations
- Experience with climate resilience and disaster-risk reduction
Desired Criteria
- Experience in emergency or disaster responses
- Experience with displaced, migrant or refugee populations
- Knowledge of Colombian protection pathways
