Overview

Provides executive, administrative and operational support to UN Women’s liaison office with the African Union and UNECA, coordinating the Special Representative’s schedule, travel, events, information flow, procurement and partner engagement for reliable office delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Special Representative’s calendar, meetings, travel, accommodation and mission records
  • Prepare briefings, presentations and background documents for senior engagements
  • Coordinate meetings, events and workshops and follow up on actions, deadlines and commitments
  • Support procurement, contract and vendor processes in line with UN Women procedures
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to programmes and intergovernmental partnership meetings
  • Manage correspondence, inquiries, records and confidential information for timely office action
  • Coordinate protocol and logistics for high-level visitors and external partners
  • Support recruitment administration and office knowledge management

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education
  • At least six years of progressively responsible administrative, secretarial or programme experience
  • Experience working with international organisations such as UN agencies at country or regional level
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based management systems
  • Fluency in English
