Job Description
IUCN seeks an EU Communications Intern for its Brussels office. The six-month placement supports IUCN Europe’s communications strategy through written and visual content, social-media reporting, event follow-up and office administration. The internship is unpaid, with public-transport and lunch expenses covered, and requires student status and an EU work permit.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support implementation of IUCN Europe’s communications strategy
- Draft newsletters, web stories, articles, brochures and factsheets
- Create social-media content, visuals and account reports
- Produce visual content and videos
- Attend meetings and conferences and report on outcomes
- Maintain databases, calendars, project-management and logistics support
Role Requirements
- Student status and university enrolment for the entire internship
- Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in communications, environmental studies or a relevant discipline
- EU work permit or EU nationality
- Proficient written and spoken English
- Good organisational, administrative and reporting skills
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of EU institutions or the environment sector
