Summary of Responsibilities
- Implement UNDP environmental and social safeguards across projects and programmes
- Strengthen stakeholder capacity for environmental screening, analysis and field monitoring
- Advise government institutions on environmental and social assessment instruments
- Support climate, biodiversity and sustainable-development strategy implementation
- Identify climate-finance opportunities and prepare project concept notes
- Conduct project monitoring, maintain risk data in Quantum and prepare reports
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in environmental management, climate change, natural-resource management, sustainable development, risk management, project management or equivalent
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a master’s degree or four years with a bachelor’s degree
- Advanced web-based management systems and ERP knowledge
- Excellent written and spoken French
Desired Criteria
- Experience in climate adaptation, sustainable natural-resource management or disaster-risk reduction
- Experience preparing quality reports or strategic notes
- Knowledge of UNDP or donor procedures
- Working knowledge of English
