Job Description

Supports UNECE’s Energy, Housing and Land Management Division in Geneva, with work focused on sustainable energy and resource management. The intern helps service intergovernmental and expert meetings, researches energy-transition themes, analyses data, drafts studies and outreach content, prepares documentation, supports reports and updates UNECE databases for the Resource Management Section.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support intergovernmental and expert meetings on sustainable energy and resource management
  • Research energy transition and sustainable development themes
  • Conduct data analysis and draft studies and short articles
  • Prepare promotional content for outreach and social media campaigns
  • Collect and analyse data through web research
  • Prepare documentation for secretariat experts
  • Draft reports and support meeting activities
  • Update UNECE databases

Role Requirements

  • Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or the final academic year of a first university degree programme
  • Studies in energy, sustainable development, economics, international relations or equivalent
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of an additional official United Nations language

  • In-person full-time internship on UN premises
