Summary of Responsibilities
- Assess sustainability strategies and identify improvement opportunities for real estate decarbonization projects
- Evaluate energy efficiency, storage, building electrification and renewable measures for their feasibility
- Conduct or review baseline assessments for real estate portfolio emissions
- Develop recommendations on climate goals, decarbonization pathways and greenhouse-gas reductions
- Review capital-expenditure plans against emissions targets, savings and payback periods
- Review renewable-energy options and frameworks for tracking client roadmaps
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in building science, architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, sustainability or a closely related field
- Minimum five years of operational experience in real estate decarbonization, building energy efficiency or technical advisory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in a real estate company, sustainability consultancy or technical advisory firm is strongly preferred
- Exposure to IFC, an MDB or a financial institution on private-sector advisory projects in emerging markets is an advantage
- Additional language proficiency relevant to IFC operational regions is an asset
