Job Description

Provides coach and passenger transport and supports the Transportation Section at Joint Force Command Brunssum. The role carries out vehicle checks and first-line maintenance, maintains fleet records and databases, reports defects, manages repair handovers and keeps the vehicle compound and fleet ready for safe operational use under local wage-rate employment conditions.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Perform driving duties for all vehicle types, especially coach and passenger-transport tasks
  • Carry out vehicle checks before, during and after use against maintenance schedules and local orders
  • Update the vehicle fleet database and maintain vehicle running records
  • Report vehicle malfunctions and defects and initiate fault reporting
  • Perform first-line maintenance and roadworthiness checks under standing orders
  • Deliver vehicles to and collect vehicles from authorised repairers
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, husbandry and compound upkeep
  • Prepare Local Wage Rate monthly time cards

Role Requirements

  • Good oral and written English
  • Good oral and written Dutch
  • At least two years of professional driving experience, particularly conveying passengers in coaches or buses
  • Valid driving licence categories B, BE, C, CE, D1, D and DE
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office tool suite and collaborative IT software
  • NATO security clearance before an employment offer is released

Desired Criteria

  • Experience maintaining a fleet-management database
  • Experience in military or multinational environments
  • Forklift-truck certification
  • Dangerous Goods licence or awareness training
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety including petroleum, oils and lubricants
  • Basic German language skills
