Driver (Assistant Fleet Manager and Vehicle Inspector)

Performs driving, fleet-management and vehicle-inspection duties for the Transportation Section at Joint Force Command Brunssum. The position ensures roadworthiness and regulatory compliance across the headquarters fleet, coordinates servicing and repair records, maintains certification and safety equipment, and supports transport operations and contractor liaison for official-duty travel.

• Perform driving duties as required
• Ensure fleet vehicles and equipment comply with host-nation road-safety requirements and are roadworthy
• Register and de-register Joint Force Command vehicles
• Coordinate vehicle servicing plans with vehicle dispatch
• Prepare vehicle documentation for upload into FINS
• Raise damage reports and calculate repair expenditure limits
• Renew required vehicle certification and plan the inspection programme
• Liaise with contractors on vehicle service and repair
• Check fire extinguishers and onboard equipment for serviceability

• At least two years of professional experience managing and maintaining a small or medium vehicle fleet
• Experience maintaining a fleet-management database to ensure vehicle accountability
• Valid driving licence categories B, BE, C, CE, D1, D and DE
• Knowledge of mechanical principles and diagnostic equipment
• Knowledge of environmental and health-and-safety legislation in the motor industry
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office tool suite and collaborative IT software
• Good oral and written English
• NATO security clearance before an employment offer is released

• Experience in military or multinational environments
• Dangerous Goods licence or awareness training
• Experience carrying out safety and technical inspections on road vehicles
• Forklift licence
