Job Description
Coordinates data science and artificial intelligence initiatives between HQ SACT, SHAPE and NATO Headquarters, aligning technology adoption with priorities. The coordinator develops policies and strategies, represents ACT in multinational forums, connects senior stakeholders and reports on programmes that advance data exploitation, responsible AI and digital transformation across the enterprise.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate and integrate data science and AI activities between HQ SACT, SHAPE and NATO Headquarters
- Serve as ACT point of contact for data science and AI matters with SHAPE and NATO Headquarters
- Align data science and AI policies, strategies and programmes across the NATO Enterprise
- Develop strategies and policies for data science and AI implementation focused on ACO and NATO Headquarters needs
- Represent HQ SACT in multinational working groups, sub-committees, boards and agencies
- Support coordinated implementation of the Data Exploitation Framework, AI Strategy and Digital Transformation Implementation Strategy
- Advocate for data science and AI adoption and communicate project progress and challenges
- Provide reports and updates on data science and AI initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders
Role Requirements
- University degree with two years of function-related experience, or higher secondary education plus advanced vocational training and four years of post-related experience
- Five years of experience in data science, AI or a related field coordinating and implementing initiatives across complex multinational organisations
- Experience developing strategies, policies, guidelines and standards for data science, AI and digital transformation
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams, managing timelines and delivering data science or AI projects
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- English SLP 3333 in listening, speaking, reading and writing
- Apply for and receive NATO SECRET security clearance before final contract confirmation and commencement
Desired Criteria
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field
- Experience within NATO or a similar international organisation
- Experience leading multinational data science, AI or digital-transformation working groups
- Practical experience deploying and integrating AI and machine-learning models
- Familiarity with cloud-based DevSecOps, containerisation and agile processes

- Limited-duration NATO project position for three years
