Job Description

Drives ESCAP's innovation agenda by designing staff learning and innovation activities, coaching teams on human-centred and futures approaches, and strengthening digital ways of working. The individual contractor supports innovation funding, mapping and awards while managing tools, knowledge resources, outreach and performance monitoring that improve products, services and organisational culture.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovation activities and training programmes for ESCAP personnel
  • Coach project teams on design thinking, human-centred design and futures methodologies
  • Support personnel to use digital tools that improve product and service usability
  • Manage digital innovation-tool licences, onboarding, tutorials and training
  • Collaborate on automation solutions and workflow mapping with business-automation and ITS colleagues
  • Coordinate the annual Seed Funding exercise for innovative projects
  • Prepare the Innovation Mapping Exercise, Innovation Awards and related events
  • Maintain innovation knowledge resources and monitor performance against KPIs

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Innovation, Economics, Information Technology, Communications or a related field
  • At least two years of professional experience in corporate innovation
  • Experience organising innovation events or training programmes
  • Experience implementing or supporting design-thinking and human-centred methodologies
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills

Desired Criteria

  • Certificate course or Master's degree in innovation methodologies and approaches

Additional Information

  • Nine-month consultancy from 1 November 2026 to 31 July 2027
  • Remote work must follow Bangkok working hours
  • The contractor may instead relocate to Bangkok at personal expense, with visa facilitation by ESCAP
