Job Description
Conducts a two-month study of Women, Peace and Security implementation in Sudan, South Sudan and the DRC for the United Nations Office to the African Union. The consultant will collect and analyse policy, institutional and community evidence, facilitate virtual consultations and deliver country profiles and a cross-country report with practical recommendations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect data from government institutions using a framework aligned with the African Union Continental Results Framework
- Conduct surveys, focus groups and key-informant interviews with civil-society organizations and affected populations
- Analyse legal, policy, institutional and outcome changes in Women, Peace and Security implementation
- Assess National Action Plans for Women, Peace and Security
- Facilitate virtual consultations with UN, African Union, Member State and civil-society stakeholders
- Deliver country profiles and a cross-country analytical report
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in political science, gender studies, international relations, peace and conflict studies or a related field
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with the UN, African Union or other international or regional organizations
- Knowledge of French
