Job Description

Supports WHO Central African Republic to implement procurement, logistics and contracting services that keep country-office operations running. The international consultant advises leadership on purchasing, coordinates and monitors procurement plans, manages supplier information and contract processes, ensures compliance with organizational rules and ERP transactions, tracks shipments, customs.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Advise the WHO Representative on purchasing transactions
  • Coordinate procurement-plan preparation and submission
  • Monitor procurement-plan implementation priorities and compliance
  • Manage suppliers and procurement resources
  • Maintain procurement logistics and contractual-service activities through GSM Oracle and BI
  • Track shipments customs clearance local committee actions and travel-policy compliance

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in logistics management logistics public administration or business management
  • At least two years of national and international emergency-logistics and procurement-operations experience including humanitarian-operations support
  • Excellent French and working English

Desired Criteria

  • Transport distribution supply-chain or information-management-system certification or training
  • WHO UN health-cluster humanitarian-organization or INGO experience
  • Import and customs-administration experience
  • Domestic travel may be required
