The UN Youth Office is recruiting two New York-based communications contractors to deliver editorial, digital and multimedia work through December 2026. The contractors will implement communications strategy and campaigns, produce stories, web and social content, coordinate video and newsletters, track communications performance, and support pre-event, on-site and post-event coverage for the inaugural UN Youth Townhall.

• Implement the UN Youth Office communications strategy and editorial calendar
• Draft and produce stories, speeches, web content, newsletters and other communications materials
• Plan and schedule social-media content across digital platforms
• Coordinate multimedia storytelling through videos, interviews and reels
• Produce and disseminate the Youth2030 Pulse newsletter
• Deliver communications for campaigns, advocacy initiatives and the UN Youth Townhall
• Monitor communications performance and prepare reports

• Advanced university degree in communications, journalism, media studies, public relations, international relations or a related field
• First-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in communications, digital communications, journalism, public information or a related field
• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Experience drafting written communications for diverse audiences
• Experience managing or supporting social-media communications and digital-content production
• Experience supporting multimedia communications, video production and storytelling
• Experience supporting communications for campaigns, events or international organizations
• Proficiency in other UN languages

• Two contractors will provide communications, editorial and multimedia support through the end of 2026
