Job Description

Coordinates editorial planning, web writing and digital storytelling for UN Women’s global communications and advocacy work. The specialist develops and edits impact-focused content, analyses website performance, produces campaign packages, guides colleagues on editorial standards, and strengthens collaboration across headquarters, regional and country offices to amplify women’s rights and gender-equality advocacy.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintain an editorial calendar and identify publishing opportunities
  • Analyse website and search performance
  • Write, edit and proofread web stories and articles
  • Coordinate translation and publication of multilingual content
  • Develop editorial packages for campaigns and priority areas
  • Advise country and regional colleagues on story development
  • Update website content and support cross-platform storytelling
  • Share editorial practices and provide communications training
