Job Description

Supports UNDP Rome Centre climate and energy initiatives by developing projects, coordinating partners and monitoring implementation. The analyst helps translate country priorities into climate-finance opportunities, prepares technical and financial reporting, engages public and private stakeholders and strengthens knowledge-sharing across energy-transition and resilient-development portfolios.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop climate and energy projects with partner governments and UNDP country offices
  • Support project design, resource mobilisation and implementation monitoring
  • Prepare technical and financial reports against project milestones
  • Engage public and private sector partners on climate finance opportunities
  • Contribute to knowledge networks and technical assistance delivery models

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Economics, Finance, Climate Policy or a related discipline, or bachelor’s degree with additional qualifying experience
  • At least two years of economic-policy and climate-and-energy experience with a master’s degree or four years with a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience designing and implementing climate and energy projects in developing countries
  • Experience building partnerships with public-sector stakeholders
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
