Job Description
Leads UNICEF’s health programme in Nepal, providing strategic direction, technical oversight and management support for health planning, delivery and partnerships. The chief guides programme development, quality assurance and results monitoring, advises senior leadership and government counterparts, and strengthens equitable health outcomes for children through evidence-based public-health action.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the health team across all stages of health programmes
- Oversee health-programme planning, formulation and delivery of results
- Establish action plans to achieve concrete and sustainable health results
- Provide technical leadership on maternal, neonatal, child, adolescent and emergency health priorities
- Build advocacy, partnerships, knowledge management and capacity for health programming
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in public health, medicine, nutrition, social science or a related field
- At least eight years of relevant professional work experience in health programme planning or management
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Relevant country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
