Job Description
Supports shipping operations in Cameroon by planning and tracking shipments, maintaining operational records and coordinating with country offices, carriers, forwarders and port authorities. The assistant verifies documentation, reports progress and discrepancies, supports risk mitigation and emergency supply movements, and maintains contracts, payments, pipeline data and compliant shipping files.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Perform standardized shipment-planning and execution activities
- Monitor shipments at load and discharge ports and update corporate systems on progress and issues
- Coordinate information exchange with country offices, shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities and supply-chain stakeholders
- Compile shipping information for corporate, internal-performance and supplier-performance reviews
- Maintain accurate records for contracts, shipments, payments and pipeline activities
- Review shipment data and documentation to identify discrepancies and escalate risk issues
- Maintain compliant shipping files and support emergency movement of food and humanitarian supplies
Role Requirements
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a relevant field with at least two years of relevant professional shipping experience
- Fluency in French with intermediate English, or fluency in English with intermediate French
Desired Criteria
- Experience working in multicultural teams and supporting emergency or humanitarian logistics operations is desirable
