Job Description

Provides administrative, financial and logistical support for UNDP Peru's biodiversity project portfolio. The role tracks budgets, expenditure and commitments, manages project records and procurement processes, and coordinates travel, contracting and events. It helps project teams maintain compliant documentation, timely reporting and effective delivery of biodiversity initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Track administrative and financial implementation of the biodiversity project portfolio
  • Monitor project activities, expenditure schedules and workplans against UNDP financial and reporting procedures
  • Reconcile project expenses and commitments in Quantum with financial reports prepared for donors
  • Maintain inventories, workplans, procurement plans, payment requests and project-management documentation
  • Support procurement and contracting of goods, services and individual contractors
  • Process travel arrangements, travel allowances and settlements for project personnel
  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings and project events
  • Support training, knowledge-sharing and capacity-development activities for the portfolio

Role Requirements

  • Completed secondary education
  • Six years of relevant administrative and financial project-management experience with secondary education, or three years with a Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Experience using office software, web-based management systems, spreadsheets and databases
  • Fluency in Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • Experience administering projects implemented with UNDP or other United Nations agencies
  • Experience coordinating with national counterparts or working on government projects
  • Experience managing travel allowances and logistical arrangements for project travel and events
