Job Description

Provides operational and logistics support to UNDP governance projects in Guatemala, managing small procurements, vendor payments, inventory, travel and high-level events. The assistant maintains records and databases, coordinates field deployment, gathers verification evidence and ensures compliant, timely delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Manage small procurements, vendor payments and purchase-order tracking
  • Maintain operational, financial, contractual and inventory records
  • Coordinate venues, transport, catering and audiovisual services for events
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and allowances for field missions
  • Maintain stakeholder and supplier databases and official correspondence
  • Collect attendance, photographic and survey evidence for project reports

Role Requirements

  • Secondary education with at least five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least two years
  • Experience in logistics, operational support, inventory, travel and administration of social projects
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet tools
  • Fluency in Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with UNDP, the United Nations, international cooperation or volunteer organisations
  • Knowledge of UNDP policies, procedures and event protocol
  • Basic English knowledge
