Architectural Engineering Technician - Senior Associate

Produces architectural and engineering drawings, models and design documentation for UNOPS infrastructure and building projects in Addis Ababa. The senior associate prepares plans, structural and services drawings, revises technical packages through design and construction, supports site assessments, and maintains as-built records that strengthen the quality and integrity of project delivery.

• Prepare CAD drawings, three-dimensional models and design documentation for infrastructure and building projects
• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, site layouts and detailed working drawings
• Produce structural drawings based on professional inputs
• Prepare sanitary, electrical and mechanical drawings from technical information
• Revise drawings and details through design and construction phases
• Translate technical instructions, sketches and mark-ups into accurate drawing outputs
• Support site assessments with sketches, layouts and drawings reflecting site conditions
• Maintain drawing, revision and as-built documentation records

• High-school or secondary-school diploma with seven years of relevant experience
• At least seven years of experience preparing architectural and engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Fluent English and Amharic

• Technical or professional diploma
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field
• Experience in multicultural environments or United Nations system organisations in a developing country
